Our Annual Pledge: Where Gilded Mischief Gives Back

Jewelry has always carried meaning: talismans for protection, symbols of belonging, quiet rebellions worn close to the skin. While our pieces may shimmer with moons, serpents, and relics, the values behind them are firmly rooted in the real world.

That’s why we’ve made a standing commitment: at the end of every year, we donate 10% of Gilded Mischief’s profits, divided equally across four organizations working to protect bodily autonomy, civil rights, environmental futures, and Indigenous sovereignty.

This is not a one-time campaign, this is part of how we do business.

A Brand Built on Soft Rebellion and Follow-Through

Gilded Mischief exists for people who live a little between worlds. We don’t believe ethics and aesthetics are opposites. We believe they can— and should— coexist.

Our annual donation pledge reflects the same philosophy behind our jewelry:

Every year once our books are closed, 10% of profits are split evenly across four key organizations.

The Organizations We Support

Each of these groups protects something essential, like bodies, voices, land, and future generations. Together, they form a balance we deeply believe in.

Planned Parenthood provides essential reproductive healthcare, education, and advocacy. Supporting access to bodily autonomy and informed care aligns directly with our belief that everyone deserves agency over their own body.

Why it matters: Access to healthcare is foundational. Without it, autonomy becomes theoretical instead of real.

ACLU

The American Civil Liberties Union works to defend and preserve individual rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. From free speech to privacy to equal protection under the law, the ACLU stands at the intersection of justice and accountability.

Why it matters: Rights only exist if they’re defended, especially for those most often marginalized.

Environmental Defense Fund

The Environmental Defense Fund focuses on science-based solutions to protect ecosystems, address climate change, and ensure a livable planet for future generations.

Why it matters: Fantasy worlds are lush and enduring. The real one deserves the same care.

Native American Rights Fund

The Native American Rights Fund provides legal assistance to safeguard tribal sovereignty, treaty rights, natural resources, and human rights of Native peoples.

Why it matters: True ethical business acknowledges whose land we live and work on, and supports Indigenous-led protection of culture and sovereignty.

How the Donation Works

Transparency matters to us. Here’s exactly how this pledge functions:

• 10% of net profits are calculated after the fiscal year closes
• Funds are divided equally among the four organizations
• Donations are made annually, not sporadically
• This pledge applies to all Gilded Mischief sales, across collections
• Receipts will be shared in annual blogs that report our donation status
